About the Project

This project centered on developing the Fig + Pico dual-branded hotel complex at the prime intersection of Figueroa Street and Pico Boulevard in Downtown Los Angeles. The complex includes Moxy Los Angeles Downtown with 380 rooms and AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles with 347 rooms, offering a total of 727 guest rooms across approximately 608,000 square feet of space. Designed by Gensler and Steinberg Hart, the project features amenities such as a rooftop pool deck, restaurants, and meeting spaces. The preconstruction phase involved comprehensive coordination, including subcontractor bidding, contract negotiation, and award recommendations for key trades. Value engineering ensured cost-effective design enhancements, while close collaboration with architects and engineers supported constructability. Integration of interior designs with architectural plans was coordinated to streamline project buy-out and execution.
