As the representative for the General Contractor in LACMA’s Phase 2 expansion preconstruction, I focused on ensuring feasibility and budget alignment for both new exhibition spaces and a planned restaurant. Collaborating closely with renowned architects Renzo Piano and Gensler, I reviewed and evaluated all design plans to ensure constructability and maintain the design vision. My role included developing comprehensive cost estimates, scheduling, and a permitting strategy, as well as value engineering to balance design intent with budget constraints. Key challenges included integrating the new structures with LACMA’s existing facilities and minimizing disruption to ongoing museum operations.
